The Oak Tree defined Rodrigue’s early and beloved works, and this piece represented a return to his roots to create a stunning work in the color palate of the artist’s iconic Blue Dog works. Bright blues, greens, and yellows make this work truly unique among the artist’s beloved Bayou scenes.
The signature is in yellow paint at the bottom left “Rodrigue”
Purchased from an individual who purchased it directly from the artist. This piece was verified by the Rodrigue estate.
Presented in an antique gilt gold beaux arts frame measuring 32x36.5 inches.
