Moonshine - Fowey, Cornwall The full moon rises above the trees. It's a quiet, still night, the moonlight glistens on the water. The yachts gentry sway on their moorings. Pools of light from the cabin ripple on the water. The building is called 'Prime Cellars'. In its day the building was used for pilchard processing. Gordon Hunt paints beautiful, colourful and relaxing paintings. “I paint the light effects of sunshine on water, with sparkling reflections and silhouettes, resulting in strong contrasting colours and dynamic shapes,” he explains. “I have a real sense of ‘painting the light’ when creating these works, evoking the feeling of sunshine, holidays and well being, which I think is why they are so popular.” “The camera is my sketchbook, I carry it at all times, ready to capture a moment, a ray of light, a sparkle of water. Back in the studio I sketch out the composition in my sketchbook, it has brown paper pages, so as well as the shapes drawn with a black pencil, I also use a white pencil to indicate the white, bright areas of the painting.” Gordon builds up layers of colour, working towards the brightest parts of the painting. I also like the modern clean look of box canvas on the wall.

This large, abstract painting inspired by the colours of spring, green yellowish and the yellow of forsythias surrounded by the blue the sky of a nice day of spring. Not framed but ready to be hung. - A Walk in the Rose Garden of the Princess Grace of Monaco, Diptych, Original artBy Mary ChaplinLocated in Deddington, GBThis work was inpired by the memory of a pleasant walk with friends to discover Princess Grace’s rose garden in Monaco. I wanted to grab the moment capturing the sun, the colors and the perfumes, a potpourri of happiness where one immerses oneself in the well being that such a place offers. The large size of the diptych makes you want to enter the place. The old olive tree has been simplified, its foliage and the sky are one, so it looks like a sentinel watching over the roses. Convinced by the positive impact that nature has on the quality of our lives, through my art, I wish to transmit this myriad of beneficent feelings. This work is made with high quality acrylic paint on top quality linen canvas. Additional Information: 'A walk in the rose garden of the Princess Grace of Monaco...Category

- Aradhana-22, Acrylic on Canvas Red by Contemporary Indian Artist "In Stock"Located in Kolkata, West BengalAnil Kumar Yadav - Aradhana-22 - 72 x 48 inches (unframed size) Acrylic on Canvas STYLE : Anil Kumar Yadav is an Artist from Kolkata who was born in 1984 a village in Uttar Pradesh. He grew up among villagers with modest lives and the village culture. The Rangolis at the village festival and the local potters’ fine works of art inspired him greatly towards art as a hobby and potential career from early childhood. His father was then posted to Kolkata so their family relocated to the city. Once the capital of India, with its rich cultural heritage and character immediately caught my attention. He started painting for the first time in the city. Since the central theme to his paintings is related to present day society, his works appear photographic or naturalistic. The religious ghats of Varanasi, Haridwar and other antique places attracted him for their cultural heritage characterised by the holy saints, antique architectures, old idol sculptures and mysticism, spirituality. So he portrayed the simplicity of the architectural doors, temples, sculptures and the beautiful narrow streets and ‘galis’ which holds beauty that can not be described in words. He always prefers a highly realistic approach in his paintings for whatever he sees in his surroundings. He started to represent paintings in a form whose expression manifests a step ahead of photography. He has always tried to reach to a horizon where photography cannot reach and make a statement what is called hyperrealism.
