This piece is a pertinent example of Helen Butman most sought after works, depicting a Garden view with flowers by the water. As an American Impressionist artist, most of Butman's works were produced in the Early 20th Century, between 1900- 1920, with this painting completed in 1910-1920's. She was known for her charming compositions and with a passion to portray a simple life by the flowers, and serene views. This painting is signed lower left and comes housed in a gold tone wood carved frame with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
