Besides being an American Impressionist, Harry was a honored French Impressionism artist as well. Lovely scene of Carmel by the Sea California of cottages and trees on a quiet lane. Some minor bowing of the canvas due to age and the heavy paints he used. He exhibited in America at the National Academy of Design, New York, as well as the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Early on in his career Lachman traveled to Europe to paint and eventually lived at various times in France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
