The work features a bustling rural village market scene of vendors selling their various goods set against a dense, lush, tropical landscape. Signed by the artist in the front lower right corner. Currently hung in a black and gold frame. Dimensions Without Frame: H 15.75” x W 23.50” Artist Biography: Felix Defournoy was born on October 23, 1952, in Petion-Ville, Haiti. He studied art at the Foyer des Art Plastiques. "Heirs to Indigenist realism, Defournoy excludes all forms of idealism to express the truth alone," says Gerald Alexis in his book "Peintres Haitiens."
