About the Item
Rooftop Bob is a portrait of a local cat in the area of Jeff Slemons. .There is the use of the palette knife which builds up a texture of the oil paints used in this animal/pet portrait. Jeff Slemons says :I’ve been an illustrator for about 25 years. I can’t imagine doing anything else. I’ve worked pretty hard to be able to do something with absolutely no job security. It’s a roller coaster ride all the way and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
From fine art inspired by long-ago greats, to cartoons and hysterical illustrations of the modern day – I do it all!
At some point I think I’ve done all I can and it’s time to call it done. In the back of my mind I made a mental note to do a bigger version at some point. On a bigger format perhaps things can be communicated more clearly. Should that happen look for a full report here. Until next time.
