Ken Otsuka
Ken Otsuka, "Rhythm of Timelessness", 20x28 Ocean Beach Shells Oil Painting

2022

About the Item

This realistic piece, "Rhythm of Timelessness", is a 20x28 oil painting on canvas by artist Ken Otsuka featuring a bright ocean beach shoreline in the midafternoon sun. Smell the sea salt air as the tide washes over the sand below, bringing seashell treasures and other findings with it's pull. Light is captured in the crest of the wave as it unfurls onto the coast leaving bands of foamy bubbles over the sand. About the artist: Ken Otsuka delivers timeless beauty to canvas with each masterful stroke of his brush. Ken is world renowned for his breathtakingly realistic landscape paintings that posses a natural elegance and produce a sense of wonder. Working directly from nature he chooses subjects for their beauty and symbolic qualities. Rocks and water suggest timelessness while trees and seashells are representative of the growth and change that are always present in life. Ken paints in a realist style gained from his studies at the Aoyama Institute in Tokyo and the famous Art Students League in New York. After his studies Ken went on to teach at the Adult School of Montclair and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. He has exhibited nationally for the past ten years and has work in private and corporate collections. Ken has recently moved to Massachusetts and continues to be inspired by the world around him. There is no doubt that the beauty of New England will encourage this painter to continue creating the spectacular paintings that have captured the hearts of so many people.
