About the Item
"The Fifth Season #1" is part of a series by Denver-based artist Kevin Sloan. Sloan observed over a summer of particularly large, aggressive wildfires that fire season, as Coloradans call the hot and dry summer and early fall months, was quickly becoming more severe. Sloan was inspired by images published in The Denver Post newspaper to capture ominous but darkly beautiful smoke-filled landscapes.
