Original Art
Marilina Marchica, born in Agrigento, where she works and lives,
she graduated in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna in 2008.
Her research is oriented towards a reflection on the theme of subtraction and on the aesthetics of the sign at the limit of abstraction thanks to an investigation of architecture and the wall as an internal / external diaphragm. The dividing surface, in particular, "the wall or border" takes on a marked symbolic value in relation to collapses and demolitions as a metaphor for a universal and existential dimension.
Her works are present in many private and public Contemporary Art Collections.
In Marilina Marchica's search for the «authentic place»
coincides with the mental one; her work originates within a score in which the harmonization between space, volume, shape and texture assumes fundamental importance. A sort of homorhythm with the earth. This connection makes experience dialogue with what is now in an unprecedented form of landscape, scattered with decadent traces belonging to actions, words, through the changing action of matter and chemistry converted into art.
Marchica's works bear witness to the cyclical relationship between life and death: a continuous becoming whose elements, linked to the void and to an all too tangible absence, remain engraved and indelible like the footprints of the ground that we have trampled and that others after us they will trample, mixing our life with other stories and other events.

Born in 1970 the artist lives and works in France. The majority of his drawings and paintings are inspired by the wild landscapes of Brittany in France. " The drawing as a gesture allows me to exploit a (re)mise-en-scene as so many possibilities in the making. Through the quality of drawing as a marker of thought, it is not a question of constructing "dream worlds" but rather of setting up a device that would allow for a conscious dialogue of a certain perception of the real." Fabien Granet is pursuing a research on the perception of the landscape, on our ways of trying to represent it, to understand it, to understand its structures. The drawn "landscapes" are thus as many projections of the artist, which convene and reveal his artistic path, the influences of his culture, his utopias, his dystopian fantasies. In his landscapes, Fabien Granet evokes a process of the mind, where shreds and fragments become entangled in a re-arrangement of of reality. Snippets of architecture and geometrical figures draw human and his gaze into it. The landscape is a human creation, but how does human try to perceive it, how does he understand its constructions? what is his mental image of it?
