About the Item

I am a citizen of the world. The paintings reflect a time and place where I am right now. The buildings and architecture both fascinate and inspire me. Of course, buildings are meant to house people. Coming from the entertainment industry where I spent a long time, working with people has been one of the most enjoyable periods of my life. But the paintings could change. I could be in Montreal next, or Beijing or Chicago. The fact that change is constant is what drives my work. No two works are made of the same stuff. What is banal I try to represent in a unique and characteristic way. I'm an optimist. My work is a little abstract and it's a little representational. It's the result of years of experimentation with alternative painting tools. It's about perception and shape and line and color. It's about the need to document a place where I live. A place I've spent many years looking out in awe from. I find the cityscapes not portraying different parts of a system, but as a whole. You are only as strong as your base. If your foundation is shaky, then your subsequent endeavours will be shaky. If you come from a place of awe and wonder then you will see the world as magical. *Ships in a tube* This item will arrive rolled in a dent-resistant tube. This method is especially safe for oversized works, and provides lower shipping costs as well. Rolled works can be easily stretched (for canvas works, i.e. placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer upon arrival. Upon immediate delivery, we highly recommend you send any works directly to your framer for cautious, professional unrolling of the artwork.
