I Must Go Down to the Seas Again. Contemporary Sea Scape Oil Painting

2022

About the Item

The title of this painting belongs to the first line of John Masefield's poem Sea Fever written in 1902. Penny uses Masefield's words in her YouTube film which shows how she finds her inspiration. It is no hardship to wander around the coast in search of a fine sea view. Her technique of building layers creates great depth and it is easy to imagine being surrounded by wind, waves and the roaring energy of the sea.
