Joanne Seltzer was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. After having majored in journalism at Northwestern University (she graduated in 1963), she gained her fine arts degree at the University of Michigan. Ms. Seltzer has also attended the New School for Social Research, the Pratt Institute and New York University, at Which she gained invaluable experience in photography, silkscreen and design. In Addition, Ms. Seltzer has lectured at several institutions, including the school of Visual Arts in New York, the University of Virginia and the University of Iowa. she is in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum and the Indianapolis Museum of Art and has showed at Un jardin secret - Collection Monique Dorsel et Emile Lanc - Centre de la Gravure et de l'Image imprimée, La Louvière along with Jean Tinguely, Francois Morellet, Georg Baselitz, Berto Lardera...

In each of the exuberant compositions, Reitzfeld offers a unique balance of formalist elements and absurdist drama." from David Ebony's Top Ten @ Artnet At first, Robert Reitzfeld's distinctive melange of Ab Ex. Pop, Op and other postwar painting styles appears to be a send-up of the source material. Among the 25 recent paintings and works on paper in this show, a number of pieces, including Minnie Mouse, Olive. Che. Marilyn and others, feature cartoons and familiar Pop-art iconography, Reitzfeld's versions often appropriating passages from Warhol and Lichtenstein. But Reitzfeld's images are very often fragmented, with roughly torn edges in the paper pieces and colorful abstract passages of paint in the canvases obscuring and sometimes rearly obliterating the subjects. Rather than a nihilistic gesture, however, his distortions may be viewed as a kind of archeology of recent art. They also reveal a rather personal relationship with specific works that have inspired the veteran New York artist over the years. 1961, I Was There (2007), for instance, Is a painting featuring Donald Duck in his blue-and-white sailor suit—a fragment of Lichtenstein's 1961 painting Look, Mickey!, partly painted over with layered patches of red and pink acrylic as well as a sprinkling of glitter. The title of Reitzfeld's piece alludes to his attendance at a 1961 opening at New York's Sidney Janis Gallery, where Lichtenstein showed this seminal Pop work. Reitzfeld is at his best here in several relatively large (about 36 inches square) intricate hard-edge compositions, such as TBT 56 (Marriage), 2006, and T8T 63 (2007). The latter contains another Lichtenstein reference: a detail of the Whitney Museum's 1973 Still Life with Crystal Bowl set...

PATRICK REAULT Born: Bayonne, France, b. 1955 After growing up beside the Dordogne, Reault became in 1975 the theater actor and musician in a band formed in Clermont-Ferrand . In the early 1980s , he moved to Marseille where he began his career as a painter, watercolorist after observing on the way to the oils . Self taught to keep its authenticity and sensitivity, it is days and nights in a cellar, he draws, he paints constantly in search of these sets of lights that have inspired him such as Provencal hills and these two masters such as Nicolas de Stael and William Turner . He sells his watercolors on the quays of the Old Port of Marseille and the sunny Sunday on the pretty little town of Cassis . Then, it is Paris he wins acclaim. Constant evolution of his technique characterizes the work of Patrick Reault. After his debut in watercolor , his paintings are in oil for ten years but the drying times are too long. Acrylic allows him more freedom in his creations and work on the material. Her painting is spontaneous, rhythmic and intense as its colorful landscape. Patrick Reault exhibits in Asia, the US and France, and his talent earned him the favor of many collectors worldwide. The first of his lithographs is published in 1994 by Art Paris Framework. The Hazan editions publish posters of his Provençal landscapes. He exhibited permanently at Opera Gallery today alongside great masters of painting such as Braque, Chagall, Picasso, Utrillo. Solomon Born December 16, 1916 in Philadelphia, PA to Harry Petrosky and Rose Bobrow, Vita graduated from Overbrook High School in 1933 and earned her diploma in Illustration and won the Lewis European Fellowship in 1937 from Moore College of Art.
