About the Item
Original oil landscape painting: "Sunset on the Klyazma River. Gorokhovets."
The evening of a hot burning day in August, when the coolness from the tired Klyazma River envelops the town. Soon everything will be wrapped in fog and the city will fall asleep until the next morning. Floating clouds to the horizon, becoming softer in tone and warmer towards the horizon, are covered with gold. The ringing of the monastery bells is heard.

About the artist Simon Kozhin:
Simon L. Kozhin is an established artist, who is committed to the Russian realistic school and graduated from the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture.
The artist mostly works in nature and paints his artworks in the plein-air. Simon Kozhin, following the principles of Impressionism, masterfully captures the mood of nature at a given moment. His experience helps him to create light, breathy, but very realistic works.
Simon Kozhin is rightly considered a master of landscape painting.
Education:
1988/90 A student of the art school in Krasnaya Presnya district of Moscow.
1990/97 A student of Moscow Academic Art Lyceum attached to the Russian Academy of Arts, Moscow. His graduation drawings were illustrations for Academician Platonov's The Course of Russian History rated as “excellent". As a result, Kozhin was attested as having finished a full course of general and professional education.
1997/03 A student of Ilya Glazunov's Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, Moscow.
Selected exhibitions:
2001 Exhibition hall in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, UK. Exhibition at the Christian ecumenical youth conference: “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world" (Mt.28:20). Christianity. in the third millennium, held in the conference room of the Central House of Tourists, Moscow.
2002 Exhibition in the Central House of Artists, Moscow.
2018 Exhibition "In Search of Color". Plyos State Historical-Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve. "Museum of the landscape". (Plyos)
2008 The artist gets a grant from the Cultural Heritage Foundation for mastership in painting.
2009 Kozhin became a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.
