Marc Le Coultre was born in 1946 in the Marne Valley of France. In 1964 Le Coultre passed the competitive exam to attend L'Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Art de Paris for L'atelier Chapelain-Midy. He continued his education at L'Academie des Beaux Arts in 1971. Le Coultre is influenced by Goya, El Greco, Zurbaran and Velazquez.
