Uri Blayer
'Kauai Large Panoramic Landscape & Ocean Painting Oil on Canvas

2010

About the Item

Israeli born artist that works mainly in Hawaii, whose realistic and whimsical landscapes has earned him a vast reputation. Blayer's work was critiqued in the New York Times (see below) and is exhibited in The Israeli museum of art in Jerusalem. The New York Times Magazine: "URI BLAYER paints sentimental landscapes that are either rich in majesty or riddled with rusted debris. His passion for painting outmoded machine parts, in particular, seem strangely foreign, even Surreal. Like the Dutch Surrealist Pieter Ouborg, Mr. Blayer creates a distinct mood in his paintings: an atmosphere, which is punctuated by an obsession with the edges of our existence, whether it is at the foot of nature's most awe-inspiring vistas or amid the decaying waste of some of our lost industries." The painting comes with a certificate of authenticity and a letter of appraisal. 'QuaI', oil on canvas, 2010. Landscape art. 36" x 74" \ 91.5cm - 188cm.
