About the Item
The Swedish artist, Wilhelm Behm (1859 to 1934) studied first at the Technical School in Sweden before being admitted to the Royal Academy of the Arts from 1879-1885. The artist's time in Paris 1889-90 introduced him to the impressionist style and influenced his palette and the use of light within his pictures, as is seen in this charming example of a summers day in the Swedish countryside, with long views across the water. Oil on Canvas.
