This artwork (French title : "Le gardien du désert salé") figures the beach of "La Banche" in Binic, Brittany. In the foreground, a stream full of stones joins a tide pool in which seagulls are fishing. On the background, the pier extends the turquoise sea, while the beacon stands lonely. The colors of this artwork make it a very realistic and very enjoyable landscape which will speak to every sea lovers.

Born in 1956 near Paris, Yves Calméjane is a French artist. Calméjane studied fine arts in Nantes and Paris. He then followed tracks of his favorite painters to settle in Provence and finally joined Auvergne in 2013. Calméjane is mostly influenced by Auguste Chabaud and Jean Arène.
