About the Item
Monica DeSalvo’s “Two Spaghetti Spoons'' is a 28 x 20 inch playful acrylic painting on 100% cotton archival printmaking paper with deckled edges. Bold brush strokes of deep blue, ochre and hot pink swirl into a whimsical contour of two pasta utensils in a vase. The painting is a cheerful addition to a dining area or Italian feast. The unframed work is signed at the bottom.
Monica DeSalvo is a Boston-based mixed-media artist and designer with a BFA in Visual Design from the University of Massachusetts. Her work has been featured in juried and invitational exhibitions and publications such as Suboart, Juniper Rag, and Artscope magazines. In 2024, she participated in her first artist residency at the Kolaj Institute in Sanquhar, Scotland. Her 2023 solo show, A Bus Tour in the Woods: Visual Duets with Her Father, was held at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, and she was interviewed for the Dementia Spring Foundation’s Artist Spotlight. Monica lives and works in Arlington, MA. She is represented by Fountain Street Gallery based in Boston.

Monica DeSalvo
Monica DeSalvo is a Boston-based mixed-media artist and designer with a BFA in Visual Design from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Her work has been featured in juried and invitational exhibitions, as well as in several periodicals, and is part of collections in the United States and Europe. DeSalvo is represented by Fountain Street Gallery based in Boston.
