--------------------
Monika Teal works from the insight that art is a form of social material. Her own art seeks to address issues of our awareness and understanding of our presence in the world. It is meant to mediate and guide our actions, by focusing on recurring themes, such as innocence, magic and the loss of magic in our lives. Art is how Monika Teal makes sense of everyday experiences, especially the more unexplainable parts of existence.
"The materials I use and my subject matters are traditionally female. I love working with "women's" materials, fibres, beads, and craft materials, as well as painting themes that lend themselves to a woman's perspective. Much of my art making is creating problems and then solving them.
My art comes from my personal life, reflected by lore, stories and myths. It is grounded in my heritage and in my past. As with many present day artists, I am engaging in real world issues. I want to breach the gap between life and art by raising appreciation and awareness of our natural world."

Stefanie Betz lives and works in Stuttgart, in southern Germany. Working as Coach and Consultant she utilizes art to open people’s minds to discover new solutions and perspectives.
Stefanie Betz is a passionate and active designer of many-layered interpersonal relationships. Accordingly, her art is always a reflection of dynamic inner processes such as the evolution of a particular project or the right time for its beginning; the overcoming of obstacles; and achieving “flow state”. All of this and more is expressed in her paintings.
Stefanie Betz likes to work on large formats, sometimes on canvas, sometimes on cardboard boxes. She works intuitively and spontaneously with an array of tools beyond brushes. Stefanie can be found making use of box knives, scrapers, bubble wrap, fabric...

By Steve Joester
Located in New York, NY
Abstract art. Strong colors. Red. Black. White. Circle motif.
About the Artist:
Steve Joester is a British-born Rock & Roll photographer and mixed media artist, currently living and working in New York City.
Joester, a leading Rock & Roll photographer in the 70's and 80's, had his iconic images of the greatest rock performers appear on album sleeves, posters, exhibitions and magazines worldwide. Joester made his mark shooting icons such as Mick Jagger, Bob Marley, Neil Young, Sting, and also documented Andy Warhol on film with Rob Halford of Judas Priest backstage at the Palladium in April, 1979.
In an explosive interpretation of the rock icons that left their indelible mark on our generation, Joester's unique mixed media works transcend his photography. Using an unconventional mixture of materials on his canvases, he echoes the raw energy of Rock & Roll with his own Interpretation of the emotion and power of the live performances. Joester was the first mixed media artist to be represented by the Morrison Hotel Gallery, and his work is included in collections internationally.
