I wanted to capture a warm golden feeling in this painting playing off the color of the model's blonde hair. The tall canvas is a natural counterpoint to the lithesome grace of her figure. Painted from a studio session with a live model.
About the Artist
Patrick Soper paints works that explore line, texture and the female body. In his paintings, he explores the texture of paint and different color combinations. Many of his pieces mix flesh tones with other colors to add interest. When he's not making art, he enjoys traveling, fishing, reading, and going to outdoor music festivals.
