Oil on board
A gentle and emotive mid-century vintage oil portrait, executed in oil onto board and dated 1943-1946 on reverse.
A standing nude figure takes center stage in the composition, as she stands with poise and her gaze turned thoughtfully to the side. She is placed against a serene lavender backdrop.
The artist has used gentle yet expressive brushstrokes and a subdued and muted colour palette, invoking a sense of calm and tranquility. There is an overall delicate balance of colour, form, and emotion in the painting.
This oil on board comes unframed. The painting has some wear to its outermost edges, but this would easily be hidden by a frame.
