WILLIAM WIESSLER (1887-1975)
“William Wiessler born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 14, 1887 and died there on August 19, 1975. He trained at the Cincinnati Fine Arts Academy with Frank Duveneck, Lewis Meakin and Vincent Nowottny.He taught from 1912-1914, and 1918- 1928 at the Cincinnati Fine Arts Academy and from 1928 - 1954 at the University of Cincinnati ( Ohio Mechanics Institute). He lived in Cincinnati from 1887-1975. He exhibited at the Closson Gallery, Cincinnati Art Museum and Traxel Gallery and the Ohio State Fair and Keny and Johnson Gallery. His work is in the Cincinnati Art Museum Collection” Courtesy WorthPoint
