This portrait of Grace Jones is inspired by the remarkable Jamaican-born singer, model, and actress, who has been a beacon of bravery and self-expression for women worldwide. Known for challenging societal norms and embracing her unique artistic vision, Grace Jones has transcended the realms of fashion and music to become a symbol of empowerment, individuality, and defiance.
The painting draws inspiration from the iconic poster for her 1981 album “Nightclubbing”.
