About the Item

Enter Kwame's world. In this work, Kwame looks to the divine for the attachment to worldly things. Almighty God (Kwame Akoto) is a non-academic artist but a great artist who exhibits passion and soul in easy work. Commercial signboard painter and master artist. Born Kumasi, Ghana in 1950. Founded the God Almighty Art Works at Suame Junction in Kumasi in the mid-1970s. Popularly known as 'God Almighty'. Numerous practicing master artists have been apprenticed under him. In 1991 entered the Living Faith Centre Pentecostal Church. The subject matter of paintings subsequently influenced by his religious beliefs and personal moral stance over issues such as drinking, smoking and prostitution. In addition to his commercial paintings, he produces 'fine art' which he terms 'Creativity Art'. Examples of his work are in museum and private collections in the UK, Europe and USA. (The British Museum ) - work is unframed. Unframed is the way it should be exhibited.
