This original cubist artwork by Borja Guijarro presents an attractive portrait of a woman, implied in an illustrative style with facial features and surrounding subject matter exaggerated and expressive. The artist employs a stylish palette of vibrant tones and conveys the human form in a simplified, abstracted way which gives the piece a modernist feel. Shading is applied to suggest the effects of light and dark on the figures forms. The figure is depicted in geometric forms of interlocking lines and shapes that are bold and shaded, and this mark making extends to the whole scene. Borja is well known in the world of illustration, where he evolves into a more artistic world of Fine Art. Artist Mostly focuses on his new interpretation of Cubism including the Pop Art and figurative subject matter with the hint of personal traits. Borja Guijarro combines all these trends making his work eclectic and varied. His artistic techniques include, oil painting, graphic, engraving, lithography, serigraphy, murals & sculpture.
