About the Item
Corinna Modigliani Ritratto Di Bambina datato Roma 1904 e firmato, dipinto italiano ad olio su tela raffigurante una bambina elegantemente vestita con un vestito bianco e azzurro a mezze maniche, scarpette bianche e calze celesti. La bimba è ritratta in piedi nella quiete della vita domestica, in un giardino davanti ad un muretto. Il fascino di questo dipinto di area romana del primo Novecento è legato proprio allo sguardo sognante della fanciulla con ventaglio e ad una sapiente tecnica nell’uso del colore. I colori ad olio sono qui trattati usando una stesura molto delicata che ci regala una composizione equilibrata ed armoniosa, dove le tonalità verdi e scure dello sfondo fanno da contrasto ai chiari vaporosi e luminosi dell’elegante vestito.
Il dipinto reca la firma in basso a sinistra Corinna Modigliani Roma 1904, proviene da una collezione privata milanese ed è in buono stato di conservazione, in prima tela con la cornice lignea ridipinta in avorio chiaro. Le misure indicate sono quelle dell’ingombro della cornice, mentre il solo telaio misura cm. 90 x cm. 50.
Corinna Modigliani artista italiana -Roma 1871-1959- figlia di un’agiata famiglia della borghesia ebraica romana, pur coltivando sia il paesaggio che la natura morta, privilegiò in particolare il genere del ritratto privilegiò nella sua produzione il genere del ritratto di soggetti legati all’infanzia, con opere ad olio caratterizzate da una tecnica vivace e una tavolozza di sperimentata abilità destinata soprattutto alla committenza privata. Sue opere sono sconservate nella Galleria Comunale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea a Roma.
