About Artist
Gobe Joseph, an indigene of Delta State, was born in the early 90s, Southwest, in the city of Ibadan, Oyo State. He had his secondary and tertiary education in Ibadan. His interaction with different people and materials in the ancient city of Ibadan propelled him towards his artistic career.
He had participated in some exhibitions and competitions in Nigeria. These include the Life in My City Art Festival (LIMCAF). Galaxy television exhibition, (INSTINCT) a group exhibition in Ibadan, (Arnheim Collection) a group of art exhibitions, (EMERGENCE) a group of art exhibitions at Alexis gallery.
Being a self-taught artist with a strong interest in the relationship between nature and the immediate environment. His work is expressed in diverse media, like acrylic and oil paint.
Joseph's work portrays figures that result from meditation and artistic interpretation. His painting is expressed with vibrant images, which are all delivered with a strong artistic flavor.
