Huge 17th Century British Old Master portrait of General Monck, 1st Duke of Albermarle, oil on canvas from the workshop of Sir Peter Lely. Excellent quality and condition three quarter length portrait of the soldier who fought in the Irish Rebellion of 1641 as well as on both sides as a Royalist and Parliamentarian. Excellent quality and condition depicted in full uniform as a battle rages on in the distance. Framed.
