Sergio FiorentinoFrammento III2021

About the Item
"Frammento III" is a painting by the emerging painter and sculptot Sergio Fiorentino, created in 2021. Through the joint use of oil and acrylic paint, the artist is able to give a three-dimensional character to all his paintings, from his portraits of divine figures and saints, to the frammenti series (lit. fragments, details).
Fiorentino was born in Catania in 1973, where he also studied Fine Arts and Restoration. He has founded his studio in 2012. In his artworks, faces and bodies of water and stone rise and disappear. A contemporary classicism that sometimes flakes off. Divers, saints, twins, and portraits remain motionless, wrapped by the ultramarine blue. A beauty revealed but protected by shoals of tuna and garfish, leaves and plants, scratches, drips, and abrasions.
The painting is unframed, with an overall size of 39" x 70" x 1.5". The individual canvasses are 39" and 31" wide.
We suggest to keep all Fiorentino's paintings unframed, to best convey their three dimensionality that is already given by the rough scratches on the canvas and the light reflection of the gold leaf - making these art works worth the name of "bi-dimensional sculptures".

- AT THE BEACH - Modern Women Portrait, Contemporary Figurative PaintingBy Marzena ŚlusarczykLocated in Salzburg, ATThe patient waiting for Bresson's “decisive moment” characterizes the pictures of the young Polish painter Marzena Slusarczyk. The compositions of her works have the magic of a successful photography. Often with a powerful neckline, they use expressive foreshortened perspectives and unusual versions and they take us into an intimate dimension of the women portrayed. However, Slusarczyk's pictures are mainly emotions captured on canvas, and this is what makes her works so special. The women she paints perform normal, banal activities in everyday life. But they are the key to reading the feelings of the female figures lost in thought. The lack of clarity in the artist's pictures allows the viewer to make their own interpretations. As the painter herself emphasizes, the aim of playing with the audience is to awaken the viewer's imagination and imagination so that they notice the seemingly invisible. This mystery and the unspoken are reminiscent of the paintings by Michelangelo Caravaggio...Category
