A delightful early 20th century portrait depicting a dignified elderly gentleman in a smart suit. The artist has rendered the subject in a soft, sensitive style, whilst highlighting details such as his icy blue eyes and sparkling wedding band. Dated and signed indistinctly to the lower right, possibly 'Marie D'Maeyer'. Handsomely presented in a gilt frame. On canvas on stretchers.
