A beautiful early 20th century portrait of a young woman, seated in profile. The artist captures the sitter engaged in reading, her hair perfectly pinned in braids with a vibrant red flower tucked behind her ear. A floral arrangement brings depth to the scene, and the artist's masterful use of light adds texture to the sitter's attire. Monogram 'A.B' to the lower left and dated 1908. The painting has been beautifully presented in an Italian gilt frame with continuous arabesques in sgraffito. On board.
