About the Item

Yury Darashkevich was born in 1962 in Belarus and graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of the Arts. Upon graduation, he began a career in the illustration and graphic design field, painting in his spare time. After several successful solo shows, Darashkevich started to devote his attention to visual art. After making this career change, he moved to Toronto, Canada. He became an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists in 2009. In 2010, Darashkevich opened his second studio in Palm Beach, FL and recently in Ponta Delgada (Portugal). Currently his artworks are exhibited in art galleries across the US, Canada, and Portugal. His works are included in several notable collections such as: Hilton Collection of Art, USA, Collection of Sara Blakely (Spanx Founder) USA, National Art Museum of Belarus, Minsk, Belarus, Museum of Contemporary Art of Belarus, Minsk, Belarus, Volksbank Collection, Germany, and Villa Weiner, Germany.
