Rachael Dalzell
Artist Rachael Dalzell’s work is held in the Agnes Gund Collection in New York, as well as many other private collections across the globe. Large pieces are currently hanging in the US Embassy in Dublin, at the headquarters of the Clerical Medical corporation, in the foyer of the Medical Council of Ireland, Alder Hey Children’s hospital in Liverpool and the East Anglian Children’s Hospice ‘The Nook’ . She continued to develop her drawing technique at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid as part of the European Erasmus programme. She has been nominated for the Boundary Figurative Art Prize. Rachael paints and teaches life drawing classes in Norfolk. “As an artist I am inspired by natural beauty, in particular the area I live in Norfolk along with other locations around the world. These have included the volcanic region of northern Iceland, the dramatic Himalayan landscape of Ladakh, west Scotland in winter and the south west coast of Ireland. I find each location captivating and inspiring and my approach to painting is largely immediate and direct”. Rachael Dalzell’s work has featured in Who’s Who in Art (36th edition) and periodicals such as Vogue, House Beautiful Magazine, Period Ideas, Achica Living Design and Lifestyle, EDP Magazine and Newspaper, Timeout (Melbourne) as well as many online blogs.

In 1965 he was commissioned by the Gloucester Regiment to paint a portrait of Brigadier Manley Angell James, VC, DSO, MBE, MC, a Bristol man who won his VC during the first World War. The painting is now in the Imperial War Museum. Frank was made a Life Member in 1973 and died in 1982.
Frank Duffiled was a member of the artist group, known as "The Bristol Savages":
Founded in 1894 by Ernest Ehlers, he invited his fellow Bristol based artists to spend a friendly evening in his studio to work and talk. At first, meetings were held in their private studios, then as their numbers grew, in rented premises. By 1904 this led to the official founding of the Bristol Savages and the holding ever since, of similar weekly meetings between October and May each year. In 1905 the first exhibition of paintings was held at the premises of George Nichols & Co., an auctioneer in Broad Street, Bristol. During the next 14 years exhibitions were held annually in Bristol and their first permanent home was Brandon Cottage which was made available to them through the good offices of fellow member James Fuller Eberle. When the Red Lodge...

"The Back Fence" - Figurative Composition
Located in Soquel, CA
Lovely figurative composition of two neighbors talking over a fence by Marilyn Spencer (American, 1939-2017). A figure dressed in blue is leaning over a fence, towards a neighbor dressed in yellow. Presumably the two people are engaged in conversation, based on their body language. This piece has a loose, sketchy style that adds an innocent quality to the composition.
Signed in the lower right corner.
