This piece from my childhood fear series features characters from fairy tales and scary stories who act as a screen from the dangers that may be past them in the woods. In my childhood fear series these characters who personify fear, while seemingly threatening, are actually the good guys, protecting those who know the tales of them from what may actually harm them more effectively than if they were just told to "be careful". This piece is composed of spray, pastel, oilbar and oil on canvas. It is un-stretched for shipping purposes and it may be stretched for a low cost at a framer near you. It is protected by varnish.
