About the Item
Andrew Davis is a contemporary painter living and working in the Uk. Inspired by his home and surrounding area Andrew paints with a fresh energetic style, which gives his paintings a unique feel.
Often the interior scenes are in his own kitchen and the landscapes are of his own cottage and garden.
When sketching his work is very abstracted and the limited color palette he uses gives the paintings an appealing style.
Often using a dry brush he works over and over the surface of each piece until the desired effect is achieved.
He often frames his paintings in Vintage French frames which he selects for each work, again giving each painting a unique feel and look. This is framed in a vintage English oak frame circa 1930.
This piece came from the artist's studio and was painted as a special commission for us.
