Anne du Planty is a French artist born in 1953 who lives & works in Paris, France.Originally from North of France, she discovered lights of the South, the brightness of the sun, the shade of the alleyways while travelling in Cuba, India, Vietnam, Spain, Portugal and above all in Italy, where she ventures each summer, appealed by the architectural elegance of its cities and villages, striding along backstreets, immersing herself in the everyday life of shady squares and sleepy piers filled with sunlight. Thumbnail sketches of Côte d'Azur, Venice or Naples fill her notebooks. As so many colored, friendly and enduring memories nourishing her artist's work. Anne du Planty paints Italy superbly, bringing the sun rays in any nook and crany of her old cities. Her paintings dance with colors. They bring joy to life, a certain radiation.
