This painting is in excellent condition and has only been shown in a gallery setting. Torres Aleu was born in Cadiz, Spain and has been painting from a very young age. In 1952 his talent was recognized by family members and he began his formal training in art. During his education and training, he studied under the Spanish professor, Mr. Francisco Prieto, a Gold National Medal Landscape Artist. Aleu began painting professionally when he completed his school training in 1960. Since this time he has exhibited in galleries, including Galeries Des Verges, Switzerland, in 1991 and 1992, Galerie Castegliani, Roma, Italy, in 1993, Galerie Soria, Chateauroux, France, in 1995, and Galerie Hispaluz, Concepcion, Chile in 1996 and 1997. Awards received by Aleu include Premio Provincial De Cadiz, Cadiz, in 1957, Premio Nacional De San Fernando, Cadiz, in 1972 and Premio Caga De Ahorros De Jerez, Cadiz in 1973. The Public library in San Fernando, Cadiz and the County Council Office in Cadiz display Aleu’s work. Anil Kumar Yadav - Aradhana-22 - 72 x 48 inches (unframed size) Acrylic on Canvas STYLE : Anil Kumar Yadav is an Artist from Kolkata who was born in 1984 a village in Uttar Pradesh. He grew up among villagers with modest lives and the village culture. The Rangolis at the village festival and the local potters’ fine works of art inspired him greatly towards art as a hobby and potential career from early childhood. His father was then posted to Kolkata so their family relocated to the city. Once the capital of India, with its rich cultural heritage and character immediately caught my attention. He started painting for the first time in the city. Since the central theme to his paintings is related to present day society, his works appear photographic or naturalistic. The religious ghats of Varanasi, Haridwar and other antique places attracted him for their cultural heritage characterised by the holy saints, antique architectures, old idol sculptures and mysticism, spirituality. So he portrayed the simplicity of the architectural doors, temples, sculptures and the beautiful narrow streets and ‘galis’ which holds beauty that can not be described in words. He always prefers a highly realistic approach in his paintings for whatever he sees in his surroundings. He started to represent paintings in a form whose expression manifests a step ahead of photography. He has always tried to reach to a horizon where photography cannot reach and make a statement what is called hyperrealism.
