About the Item
Through ephemeral constructions of ice cubes and origami paper boxes, Kevin Palme (b. 1976, Morristown, NJ) seeks to convey the transitory nature of life.
As the artist explains, "These structures are fragile, designed to fail, either by melting or being disassembled and discarded. Standing alone against indeterminate spaces, there is something dramatic and historical about these buildings. These vignettes serve as a memorial to things destined not to last." Palme recognizes that transience can be made palpable through painting. "A painted image is the tangible result of working with a changing and flexible medium until the arrival of an end. It is a path that allows a memory to be made into something more concrete than an idea."
Kevin Palme maintains his studio in Asheville, NC. He has participated in exhibitions across the country and is featured in private collections globally. Palme earned a BA degree from Wake Forest University and an MFA degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Kevin Palme is an artist based in North Carolina. He earned a BA in Studio Art from Wake Forest University and an MFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. His paintings have been exhibited nationally and are represented by Gallery Henoch in New York, NY. His work contemplates the temporal nature of existence and the plastic and abstract qualities paint as a material. Borrowing techniques from diverse periods in art history, Palme's work features elements of tight representational painting as well as non-objective painting and minimalism. His current series of paintings of melting ice cubes focuses on a temporary subject matter as metaphor and the irony of making a still life of a fundamentally ephemeral object.

Lemon - original realism still life painting - contemporary Art
Located in London, Chelsea
This exceptional artwork is currently on display and available for sale at Signet Contemporary Art Gallery and online.
With astonishing clarity and kinetic grace, Lemon by Heinz Schönhammer captures the exhilarating moment citrus meets water. The scene bursts to life as glowing yellow slices plunge into a pristine glass, scattering droplets and swirls in high-definition precision. Every splash and bubble is suspended in time, rendered in oil with such finesse that the viewer feels the chill and fizz of impact.
Schönhammer’s technical prowess invites awe—his ability to manipulate paint into liquid transparency and refracted light is nothing short of masterful. The luminous oranges glow from within, while the glass shimmers with crisp refractions and dynamic shadows. The contrast between the stark, moody background and the effervescent motion within the glass electrifies the composition.
Lemon becomes a study in energy and clarity, elevating a simple subject into an extraordinary meditation on light, texture, and immediacy. This exceptional artwork is currently on display and available for sale at Signet Contemporary Art Gallery and online.
