Artist's Commentary:
"Bliss Pearls is part of a larger body of work for a show titled 'Seaworthy Seductions: A Taste of Intimacy'. This work contemplates the radiance of the feminine through the resilient oyster and the spiritual belief that a ball of qi energy is a pearl in our body. Each pearl is painted with a pearlescent acrylic. I hope the viewer will see the vibrancy of this piece in color and concept."
About the Artist:
Kyle Browne is a conceptual artist working across mediums with a focus on the interconnectedness of nature and humanity. Her rich colored pencil drawings offer us a portal into the surreal and sacred, while her site-specific sculptures are intimately placed within the landscape. She has been awarded artist residencies with the Manship Artist Studios in MA, Caldera in OR and internationally in New Zealand. She exhibits locally and nationally and is a professor at Mass College of Art and Merrimack College. When she is not creating art you can find her on or by the ocean.
