I have created for you a window into the garden of relaxation, where the youth of nature is endless behind Murano glass. A window that can fit on any wall and will be a portal to enter spring, as in a resource trance for strength and energy.
The painting "Spring Garden" is a product of the union of West and East. A bow to Western art is the subtlest allusion to the work of the French post–impressionist Paul Cezanne. And the technique of execution is ebru, it came from the East. That's how my ebru style, impressionism, was created.
Ebru – from the Persian "air clouds", as well as its Japanese counterpart suminagashi "floating ink", is a technique of painting with paints on the surface of water.
The painting was painted using an ancient technology: paints are prepared on the basis of mineral pigments ground in a mortar and mixed with bile so as not to dissolve in water.
On the surface of the water, the paints under the artist's hand create intricate iridescences, flow into each other, dance and freeze to inaudible music. And then, with a deft touch, like a kiss, this magic is imprinted on the canvas.

Lilya Volskaya is a Russian artist who has exhibited nationally. She studied EBRU in Turkey in 2002-2005 and completed a course in painting and drawing in the workshop of Alexander Sergeev 2005-2007 MGAKHI named after V. I. Surikov. The Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. She lives and works in Moscow. Lilya creates using eastern techniques of drawing on water – Ebru, Ceramic Style, and some more traditional - wet acrylic, resin pouring, classical oil painting, palette knife.
