Artist Statement
“My beloved wife is a big ambassador of everything about traditional Chinese tea and she quite amplified my interest in the drink too. We like to have cozy tea ceremonies together in the afternoons. and that is exactly what I painted here—our hands holding cups with fancy pu’er. Ceremonial tea stones and a candle lit on a tea tray are there to set the right mood.”
