This is accomplished by combining structure of form along with an organic, reactive approach to color and value. While my still life’s and portraits adhere to the traditional, I often incorporate contemporary design.
Some paintings are a departure from reality in that I allow my reactions to take the painting to places I cannot preconceive as I focus only on the essentials.”
