About the Item
A fantastic contemporary artist, Raquel Carbonell, paints with incredible skill, patience and a very high level of detail to create a Hyperrealist effect. 'Sweet Treats' is so realistic, it almost makes you hungry! There is such a sense of fun and enjoyment in this work.
Born in Alcoy in 1973 Raquel Carbonell joined the academy of fine arts. Here she was able to develop her painting style and technique into hyperrealism, creating paintings that were as lifelike as possible.
Technical precision and a sharp finish were at the centre of her work.
Hyperrealism artists insert narration and feelings into their paintings, which can be seen in Carbonells work through her choice of subject matter, painting child hood memories.
