About the Item
"Figure with Rose of Sharon" was built in many layers, beginning with a background whose aim was to transmit what it felt like to stand under the Rose of Sharon tree by my house when it was in full bloom. To aid with this, I used the actual petals and leaves of the plant as the brushes for my background. The medium that I used to adds a luminescence to the piece.
