Paper size: 45"H x 41"W Shipped rolled in a tube. Clark's photography involves the examination of hidden details of urban life transformed into aesthetic objects, he transforms the mundane to art, elevating both the subject and the possibilities of photography. Clark continues to exhibit his art in many galleries. Artists statement: "My photography involves the examination of hidden details of urban life transformed into aesthetic objects. In the tradition of minimalist artists whose focus is on context, it is texture that facilitates the dialogue between the natural and the man-made world. Metal is harmonized with wood, deteriorating paint takes on the significance of a volcano, sunset or rainstorm. I am interested in transforming the mundane to art, elevating both the subject and the possibilities of photography." He considered these type of photographs his "erratics" like the boulders dropped in Yosemite by receding glaciers, he discovers these remnants of color on the streets of San Francisco.
