Often using her large family and circle of friends as models in her work, Julia is drawn simultaneously to heart-warming intimacy and provocative freedom. Julia Gat, based in France, was home-schooled as a child. Alternative education has played a significant role in her work. Julia is immersed in an artistic milieu in both her native Israel and adopted home in Marseille, France where she has grown up in a family of 6. Provenance: Gat Studio *** Artist’s Bio: Born in Israel in 1997 Julia Gat won the European Prize ISEM Young Photographers in 2020 and 1st Prize at the Portrait Festival 2016 (Vichy, France).
