A painted wall advertisement becomes an abstract work of art through the lens of Mitchell Funk. San Francisco is known for is a rich environment of Street Artists painting their creations of the Streets of San Fransico. This a-pealing artwork by Funk is somewhat unexpected because the original intent of the wall painting was to sell something and not be adorn the streets with beauty.
Signed dated and numbered 315 lower right recto, other sizes available, unframed. This work is printed on fine art Hahnemuhle paper. The color will vary from monitor to monitor.
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of " Color Photography" In 1970 he participated in one the first " Color Photography" shows at a major museum. Mitchell Funk
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of color photography. In 1970, he participated in one of the first color photography shows at the Brooklyn Museum titled “Images en Couleur." In 1971, he was included in the visionary books Frontiers of Photography and Color (Life Library of Photography), both published by Time-Life. He has done more than 50 photography magazine covers, including covers for Newsweek and Life.
