Blue Moon - Still Life Photographic Print Framed

Austrian Contemporary Photographer Pia Clodi, demonstrates immense skill through her analog photography, which is often poetic, abstract and fleeting. To shine like she once did, is a brilliant example of how Clodi examines moments within her life and travels, and is able to turn the real into something more abstract and intimate, and thus allowing her viewers to bring their own experiences and thoughts through the work.
Many of Clodi’s photographs invoke moments of reflection or calm, when one can stop, and contemplate.
Taken on Polaroid, the process by which this photograph was originally created is reminiscent of much slower and earlier practices in photography, where precision can’t be guaranteed, but the surprise and fragility of what may appear on paper post-development is increasingly alluring to a contemporary photographer like Pia, who searches for unpredictability and chance moments in her life.
This photograph is offered in the form of a limited edition print (one of 10 + the original Polaroid). Presented in a shadow gap frame.

Inspired by processes of creation, and early practices within photography, from the likes of Anna Atkins, Eugene Atget, William Fox Talbot and Louis Daguerre. Clodi’s work focuses on form and traces of life, over realism - whilst capturing stillness even through movement.
