About the Item
Zoe Wetherall has masterfully composed the forms in this minimalist landscape, and incorporates a play on words with the title. "Driving" relates to a cattle drive and also to the driver of a car along the road in this photograph. Composed with a minimalist flare, Wetherall frames her photograph with a single horizontal line bisecting the upper two thirds of the neutral, sandy colored ground, that has just a touch of green. A speckling of black dots draw the viewer in for closer inspection, revealing the overall scale, and the subjects she has captured. Cattle along an open expanse of dry field grass, gather in an open grouping. A sole car drives along a the line of the road. The landscape is abstracted into fields of color and line in this gorgeous earthtone photograph by Zoe Wetherall.
