WISDOM I LEARNED:
As I arrived at Amanoi, I was immediately captivated by the resort's serene ambiance. After settling into my private villa, I got to bask in the glory of overlooking the bay. The resort blended seamlessly with its natural surroundings. The traditional Vietnamese architecture, with its graceful lines and soothing earth tones, created a sense of harmony with the environment.
The next morning, I met my guide, Linh, a friendly local who was passionate about sharing the beauty of her homeland.
Our first stop was the village of Vinh Hy, a charming fishing community that has preserved its traditional way of life for generations. As we strolled along the narrow streets, I marveled at the colorful fishing boats bobbing in the crystal-clear waters. The air was filled with the delightful aroma of freshly caught seafood being prepared by the locals.
This was from a advertising trip to Vietnam, where she stayed a few days and explored the local lifestyle. A chapter of this Vietnam series won 2023 People's Choice Awards in the Re-Focus Black and White Awards for Photojournalism.

ARTIST BIO:
Addison Jones is a Midwest-based multi-disciplined artist. She is an advertising photographer, fine artist, and creative director.
Through the lens of her camera, she translates geography, culture, and architecture into a universal language, crafting complex narratives without the need for words, and using light to illuminate emotion.
The daughter of creatives, Addison’s family moved frequently when she was growing up to follow her parents’ careers. Today, she remains just as nomadic—now following her own curiosity and intuition to new places in search of inspiration.
